Thanks to the Suffolk County Make a Wish Foundation and the fundraising efforts of Biodex employees, the wish of an eight year old girl named Nicole will come true. Nicole lives locally, right here in Shirley with her parents and siblings. It has been Nicole’s wish to have the opportunity to visit Disney World with her family.
The Make a Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
This year, Biodex Medical Systems, Inc. and the Make a Wish Foundation teamed up to fulfill this young girl’s wish. Biodex employees held several fundraising activities to help make Nicole’s trip to Disney possible.

The final event was a Fall Family Festival, which was open to surrounding communities. Biodex employees raised over $10,000, which will not only fulfill Nicole’s wish, but raised enough money to also provide a sizable donation toward the wish of an 11-year old boy from Farmingdale.
Nicole and her family plan to visit Biodex upon their return from Disney. Their trip is planned for February.
